Captain Mary T. Klinker was a Captain and flight nurse in the Air Force who was killed when the transport aircraft she was on crashed during a humanitarian mission. She was the last servicewoman to perish in the Vietnam War.
The Mary T. Klinker - Restoring Hope Veterans Resource Center is named in her honor. The facility is an adaptive reuse of the former Indiana National Guard Armory Building and will provide short-term housing, counseling services and amenity spaces for veterans and community members.
